Mission Statement

The mission of Notre Dame High School, a Catholic high school for young women, is to provide excellence in spiritual and educational development in order to prepare students to live the vision of life found in the Gospels and to be responsible and successful members of society.

School Profile

Notre Dame High School serves young women in grades 9-12 with a full range of courses and activities. An outstanding faculty of credentialed educators teaches courses which average 21 students per class. Notre Dame High School provides a wide variety of extracurricular activities including teams for eleven sports, student government, drama, band, yearbook, newspaper, retreat teams and numerous clubs. Community service and a family atmosphere are hallmarks of Notre Dame. Notre Dame High School joins with neighboring Palma High School, an all-boys' institution, for many social and extracurricular activities.

Curriculum

Notre Dame offers a college preparatory program of studies including basic skills classes for freshmen, honors classes and AP classes in all curriculum areas. Required courses are supplemented by an extensive program of electives including art, drama, music, and foreign languages. Religion is required all four years as part of our standard curriculum. Over 99% of Notre Dame's graduates go on to a wide range of two- and four-year public and private colleges and universities.

Accreditation

Notre Dame High School is fully accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) and the Western Catholic Educational Association (WCEA). Its courses have been approved to meet the University of California A-G requirements.
