Mission Statement

The mission of St. Francis is to foster life-long learning in a family atmosphere of love and safety where friends are made and joy is celebrated.  We do this using our unique Salesian style, integrating the essential qualities of: church, school, playground, and home into the educational environment.

School Profile

St Francis Central Coast Catholic High School is a California not-for-profit corporation animated by the charism of St. John Bosco.  The school maintains a partnership with the Diocese of Monterey and with the Western Province of the Salesians of Don Bosco.  St. Francis serves young men and women in grades 9-12 with an exclusively college prep curriculum in a Salesian atmosphere where the integral education of the young is at the heart of all school decisions. All aspects of the school—interscholastic sports, activities, clubs, campus ministry, retreats, service projects, visual and performing arts, and student government--complement the academic offerings to provide the students with a complete education that prepares them for entrance into a four-year university or college, for leadership in the 21st century, and for a fuller awareness of their status as children of God.

Curriculum

St. Francis offers an exclusively college preparatory curriculum that fulfills all UC and CSU entrance requirements, as well as those of most every college and university in America. These required courses are supplemented by electives in visual and performing arts, modern languages, and advanced classes. Instruction in theology and community service projects are integral parts of the curriculum each of the four years of the high school experience.

Accreditation

St. Francis Central Coast Catholic High School is fully accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges and by the Western Catholic Education Association.
